Bahamut X

finally done with this

this felt like it took a long time, but i enjoyed doing this very much i drew the main body on paper, then ran out of room, and finished the feet and wings on tablet. The colors are based on a Subeta pet called a Galactic Dragon. The coloring and shading was done in Photoshop CS2

The is a new Bahamut that I created called Bahamut X. Sorry if they name is not original And this should not be confused with FFX Bahamut. But I did incorporate ideas from all the Bahamut i seen as references. The most would probably be Final Fantasy VII, since that game has a lot of Bahamuts.

The attack will be called Penta Flare.

Freedom of the Dragon

The legend of the King of Dragons, Bahamut, is known throughout the world. Time has passed since his fall; his legend is considered myth and it is feared for his power. Now, a new power has awakened.

Chienkatrus, once a mad Spirit Scientist, used the very soul of Bahamut and fused it with one of the hardest known alloy, Spyrite. Through many failed experiments, Chienkatrus worked fiercely for this new weapon, discarding anything that is not to his satisfaction. Finally… the perfect weapon has been created, Bahamut X.

But Chienkatrus, always portraying himself as a genius, was hastening Bahamut X’s awakening. The pressure with the Spirit Warriors’ advance in his land has made him careless and activated Bahamut X too soon.

From his awakening, Bahamut X seems loyal to Chienkatrus and made relentless attacks on the Spirit Warriors. His hard exterior and aerial movements made it very difficult for the Spirit Warriors to attack. However, Anguri, Spirit Warrior of Fire, made the first blow to Bahamut X and fell to the ravage earth.

Only shaken, Bahamut X felt very strange. And this surprised him the most… that he can actually think. He saw the war-like landscape and seen what his powers can do. He knew that he used his powers for bloodshed and became furious.

At first, the Spirit Warriors were confused of his sudden outburst. They are poised to defend themselves as Bahamut X rose up and floated in the air. Bahamut X’s eyes did not gaze the Warriors, but the tower of Chienkatrus. Using his engines, he flew to the tower at high speeds. There, he met Chienkatrus, who was overlooking the battle. This caught him by surprise as Bahamut X met his gaze with a deadly intent.

Bahamut X readied his Penta Flare, a devastating spiral attack. Chienkatrus didn’t know what to do, he can only scream at him, “I created you!!! You serve me!!! Stop this now!!!!” Bahamut X didn’t listen as his flare grew bigger. Chienkatrus did nothing but flee from his escape pod and muttered about another failed experiment.

Bahamut X fired five small aqua-colored flares and hit the ground around the tower. The earth begins to crack and they fused with each orb like a pentagon. Soon, each flare began to erupt one by one in a clockwork motion. When all were erupting, the ground under the tower began to crack and quake.

The Spirit Warriors can not stop to look at what has happen. An eruption of great intensity has engulfed the tower. The very sight of it was beautiful yet fearful. The tower will be nothing but dust. Bahamut X led out a victorious roar.

Bahamut X now realized of its purpose to being. He does not want a life of absolute destruction and so he soared in the sky. Searching for something, what that something is… power, purpose, reason? He does not know.

Bahamut X flew as his wings can carry him and lives in peace in a remote valley… for now…
